Barefoot Landing Camping Resort offers a wide variety of activities for our guests to enjoy. From relaxing at the pool to taking a hike through the woods to driving your golf cart to launching your pontoon boat or kayak at the cove. Visiting the waterfall at the cove for a peaceful picnic.  Playing basketball, volleyball, or horseshoes.

There is always something to keep you entertained at Barefoot Landing Camping Resort!

Barefoot Landing Camping Resort now takes debit and credit cards! Come visit our Concession Stand and Gem Mining Sluice this summer!

Open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, our swimming pool is a popular recreation for many of our guests in the hot summer months. Seasonal campers may use at no charge. A season family pass is available for purchase. Contact management for details.

Want a little more adventurous swim? Try taking a dip in our cove on Lake James! Next to a picturesque small waterfall on the creek which feeds the cove lies a deep-water spot that is ideal for cooling off!

Most of our guests own a golf cart, which they leave at their RV site during their stay. With long stretches of roadways to enjoy, that is the quickest and easiest way to travel within the resort. And it is a quick trip to the campground next door through our private gated entrance by cart as well.

A number of wooded trails also exist as well. Try taking a hike and enjoy some beautiful nature scenery!

The resort boasts access to a quiet cove with boat launch into Lake James. Many of our guests use the launch for their pontoon and other boats, jet skis, kayaks and canoes. Plus, as a member of the fraternal lodge next door, our campers also have easy access to the deep-water boat launch next door.

Below our volley ball court lies two horse shoe courts to enjoy on a hot summer's day. Located in a wooded area, you can enjoy a game with friends while escaping the heat of the sun!

Next to the swimming pool is the resort volley ball court. Strike up a game with some of your neighbors or make new friends by grabbing a few guests at the pool to play a game or two. Bring your own ball or ask management for a ball to check out for the afternoon.

No stay at Lake James would be complete without some time spent fishing on the shore or by boat. With plenty of large mouth bass, muskie, and crappie to catch, you'll not often go unrewarded for your patience!

Every year the resort hosts a grand 4th of July celebration party and everyone is invited. Held at the recreation lodge onsite, all  campers make plans to attend this meal and celebrate the day. Everything is paid for by the resort. All you must bring is your appetite, and a desire to have a good time!
